Dia de los Muertos...at ARt from Scrap...

Had to go to town to do a few errands and just had to stop by our local Recycling center and see the Day of the Dead Show. This is such a fun place to visit. The gallery upstairs is filled with fun art created with stuff from the center both by kids and adults. I always seem to find something to take home, usually fabric of some kind. Today I found a folder of old stencils, a piece of wool cloth and 2 postcards. Took a quick peek at Imagine downtown...they had these amazing felt "rocks" made in South Africa and some cool jewelry...and found a hooked rug on sale at Anthropologie that I couldn't resist!
Just had to share the fun creations for Day of the Dead made by our local artistas~!

Skulls aren't scary! I wear mine inside all the time.

Oh Mary! These pictures are just the thing to brighten up a perfectly, wonderfully dreary day. Thanks!
